Use your creativity and positive attitude to lead campers in a variety of fun activities including group games crafts swimming field trips and more! Enjoy being outside and working at a job where you get to have fun all summer. Camps take place at the Lincoln Center for Kindergarten-2ndgrade and at the Recreation Center for 3rd-8thgrade.

Pay:
This seasonal position starts at$16 per hour for newly hired staff and $16.50-$17.00 per hourfor returning staff.

Whenyoullwork:
- Summer Camp is scheduled Monday Friday June8th- August14thwith training scheduledduring the last week of May and the first week of June.
- Oneadditionalweek of camp will run Monday - Friday August 17th - August 21stwith limited enrollment and staffing.
- Camp Staff shifts will be scheduled between the hours of 7:00am-5: will typically work 30-40 hoursper week depending on their availability.
- No camp on 6/19 and 7/3.
We allow for flexible scheduling at our camps. However consistent schedules arepreferred.
Role Expectations:

- Greet guardians and campers as they arrive for drop-off and pick-upensuring sign-in and-out procedures are done properly
- Assistin monitoring andmaintainingthe safety of all campers on weekly field trips and pool visits
- Communicate with guardians about daily activities and camperexperience
- Understand communicate andassistin enforcing camp and Park District rules or policies
- Implement daily schedule and activities to keep campers excited safe and engaged
- Initiate spontaneous activities to accommodate agenda conflicts/changes
- Work collaboratively with camp staff and supervisors
- Assistin addressing camper behavior/disciplinary issues
- Maintain program supplies equipment and facility space
- Opportunities toassistin other areas of the park district including but not limited tospecial events birthday parties concessions etc.
About you:
- 16 years of age or older
- Team-orientated
- Responsible and reliable
- Able to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving judgement and communication skills
- Can confidently lead a group of children of varying ages
- Previousexperience working with children preferred
