TELECOM COMMISSIONING SPECIALIST OFFHSORE

We are looking for an experienced Telecom Commissioning Specialist to support offshore commissioning activities on an oil and gas project. The role is responsible for ensuring that all telecom and communication systems are mechanically complete tested integrated and handed over in compliance with project requirements specifications and applicable international standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Support offshore commissioning activities for telecom and communication systems including: PA/GA systems Telephone systems Data and fiber optic networks CCTV and access control systems Radio communication systems
• Verify mechanical and system completion status and ensure readiness for pre-commissioning commissioning and handover
• Review manage and close telecom punch lists in coordination with construction and QA/QC teams
• Coordinate with construction QA/QC instrumentation electrical and commissioning teams to ensure proper work sequencing and interface management
• Witness and support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including: Loop checks Functional testing System integration and performance tests
• Ensure telecom systems are installed tested and commissioned in accordance with approved drawings project specifications vendor documentation and applicable standards
• Support preparation review and completion of commissioning dossiers test records and handover documentation
• Participate in offshore safety meetings toolbox talks and commissioning readiness reviews
• Monitor and report commissioning progress risks and technical issues to the Commissioning Lead and Project Management Team
• Ensure full compliance with offshore HSE requirements and safe work practices

Key Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications Electronics Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore oil and gas projects
• Strong background in telecom installation and commissioning activities
• Hands-on experience with: PA/GA systems CCTV and access control systems Fiber optic systems Radio communication systems Data and structured cabling networks
• Good understanding of offshore commissioning processes and mechanical completion systems
• Ability to work offshore on a rotational basis
• Strong coordination communication and interface management skills
• Good knowledge of offshore HSE regulations and practices
• Previous experience as a Telecom Commissioning Specialist/Engineer on EPC offshore projects (Preferred)
• Experience working on offshore platforms jackets modules and topsides (Preferred)
• Familiarity with commissioning databases and handover management systems (Preferred)
