Senior Energy Project Consultant

Location: Juno Beach FL Type: 12-Month Contract

Overview

Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant to join their Engineering & Construction team. This role focuses on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects coordinating complex development activities from pre-construction through construction phases. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of project management experience in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams across multiple disciplines
Ensure resources are focused on critical activities to meet project schedules
Collaborate with environmental regulatory cultural land acquisition and interconnection teams
Develop and optimize project technical scope for maximum feasibility
Support PPA and GIA negotiations with origination and development teams
Coordinate engineering estimating and procurement requirements
Manage jurisdictional compliance and regulatory requirements
Optimize project variables to improve technical and financial outcomes

Requirements

6-10 years of project management experience preferably in energy/utilities
Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or renewable energy projects
Strong coordination skills for managing multiple stakeholders
Knowledge of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and grid interconnection agreements (GIAs)
Understanding of environmental regulatory and permitting processes
Excellent communication and organizational skills
PMP certification preferred
