The Admissions Outreach Coordinator is primarily responsible for research scheduling and coordinating a calendar of events for college and career fairs high school presentations and cultivating long-term relationships with feeder schools both locally and nationwide to identify and recruit academically qualified traditional college-bound students to Neumont University. This role also serves as an Admissions Officer assisting prospective students and their parents throughout the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator who is fast-paced self-driven outgoing and goal oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Research schedule and coordinate an event calendar of college and career fairs throughout Utah.
  • Build long-term relationships with high school counselors and educators at both local Utah schools and national feeder schools through phone email and virtual meetings. Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact lists.
  • Identify research and cultivate national feeder-school relationships using remote communication while maintaining an active in-person presence with Utah schools.
  • Represent and present Neumont programs to prospective students and parents in both outreach and admissions settings including in-person events in Utah and virtual presentations when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with marketing staff to develop appropriate presentation and recruitment materials.
  • Establish and maintain an informational active communication system with traditional high school students parents counselors and other referral sources.
  • Provide reports and feedback on the effectiveness of outreach efforts school partnerships and event participation.
  • Assist in collecting and documenting information from prospective students as a result of presentations events and admissions interactions.
  • Perform telecommunication tasks including filtering inbound inquiries and placing outbound re-contact calls to prospective students.
  • Actively manage a prospective student pipeline as an Admissions Officer guiding applicants through the admissions process.
  • Assist in greeting and serving prospective students on campus.
  • Counsel student applicants concerning visitation opportunities admission requirements enrollment procedures and housing options if applicable.
  • Read interpret and evaluate students academic credentials.
  • Participate in special programs research projects and the development and implementation of enrollment strategies.
  • Compose routine correspondence and compile data for reports.
  • Support visitation programs by touring and hosting visiting families.
  • Participate in and assist with student events such as FReX Orientation and other recruitment-related programs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 35 years of Admissions outreach recruitment or similar experience.
  • Experience using CampusVue or other educational databases to document and prioritize work and generate reports.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook) required.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent public relations skills including courteousness tact and strong verbal communication.
  • Strong telephone etiquette and in-person presence including the ability to establish rapport trust and confidence quickly.
  • Professional writing skills including correct grammar and punctuation.
  • Strong organizational listening and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities across outreach and admissions functions.
  • Capacity to learn and provide in-depth information about the college and its programs.
  • Ability to carry on directed efficient conversations in both recruitment and admissions contexts.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Willingness (within professional standards) to provide service during hours convenient to students and families.

SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week
  • Occasional evenings and weekends with notice

REPORTS TO: Director of Admissions

SUPERVISES: None

PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Travel including national air travel for periods up to 8 days
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods
