The Opportunity

We are building a newVirtual Assets & Tokenized Paymentsteam at the group level to accelerate our strategy on Virtual Assets.

We are looking for aBlockchain Architectto design the technical foundations that will bridge traditional payment rails with distributed ledger technologies.

This role is the technical backbone of our transformation journey. You will work hand-in-hand with the Product Manager to translate business visions into secure scalable and compliant technical architectures.

You will define how Worldlines product could adapt to blockchains while working on new will act as the technical authority on virtual assets validating technology choices architecture and prototypes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a first priority you will focus on designing the architecture forour stablecoin distribution product for our financial institutions clients. Your objective is to enable rapid prototyping while keeping a long-term industrialization mindset.

• Product Guidance: Support the product manager with a technology view estimation of work to be done and how to get things done.
• Prototype & POC:Hands-on involvement in building Proofs of Concept to validate assumptions on gas costs transaction speed and finality before full-scale development.
• Define the technical strategy:Select the appropriate technology supporting the product manager in his design choices
• Architect secure solutions:Design end-to-end architectures encompassing wallet management key custody smart contract standards and on-chain/off-chain data synchronization.
• Bridge Web2 and Web3:Lead the integration design of blockchain nodes and APIs with Worldlines existing legacy payment gateways and banking interfaces.
• Vendor & Protocol Assessment:Evaluate external technology providers (custodians node providers infrastructure) and open-source protocols to build vs. buy decisions.

Who Are We Looking For

We seek engineers with pragmatism and vision driven by execution and bringing product to the market.

• Strong technical expertise in DLT:Deep understanding of EVM-based chains (Ethereum Polygon)
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture:Proven ability to design systems that integrate with complex enterprise environments (APIs Microservices Event-driven architecture).
• Security-first mindset:Knowledge of cryptographic primitives private key management (MPC technology is a strong plus) and smart contract security best practices.
• Ability to translate tech to business:You can justify your choices and also bring a market view on the latest technology.
• Problem-solving attitude:You are comfortable navigating the friction between immutable ledgers and reversible banking transactions.
• Collaborative spirit:You know how to work with Product Managers to find the sweet spot between market needs and technical reality.
