At theAgriserasite inUmeå part of the Proteomic Sciences division former Olink Proteomics we are working on transforming the understanding of human diseases through advanced protein biomarker discovery. With our innovative Olink solutions including highly specific and validated assays that cover more than 5000 proteins our colleagues and technology empower scientists in groundbreaking research that will play a pivotal role in the future of personalized medicine.

Job specific information:

We are seekinga Development Engineer to join the Recombinant Protein Development team within the Affinity department at R&D. If you want to work with a leading technology that supportspopulation scale proteomicsyou mighttheperson we are looking for.

Recombinant Protein Developmentis responsible fordeveloping immunoassay reagents forOlinksproducts. This includes design expression purification and analysis of recombinant proteins. Furthermore we also work with researchdevelopmentand other types of projects within R&D. You will belong to a teamof eight peopleincluding bothScientists and Development Engineers and report to the Section Manager Recombinant Protein Development located on-site inUmeå.Thislaboratory-centeredroleandhas a certain focus on protein expressioninmammalian systems.

Mainresponsibilities:

  • Plan and perform laboratory workin accordance withset project plans and work schedules with active collaboration and communication with the team.

  • Evaluateanddocumentresults

  • Troubleshoot and further develop our technical capabilities.

  • Ensure our products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications/skills:

  • University degree in Biotechnology Biochemistry Molecular Biology or related field (Advanced Degree preferred)

  • Documented experience of hands-on laboratory work in protein research or biochemistry/molecular biology (gel electrophoresis DNA cloning plasmid preparation PCR)

  • Experiencewithproteinpurificationtechniques

  • Strong background in cell culture techniques and aseptic practicesincludingmammalian protein expression (e.g.HEK293 CHO or similar).

  • Scientific understanding of the fields of proteomics proteinscienceand recombinant protein technology.

  • A collaborative spirit combined with the ability to work independently

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Full professionalproficiencyin English and intermediate understanding of Swedish
