We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and patient EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Woolwich starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about Early Years education and enjoys supporting young children as they develop essential skills across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will support the class teacher in delivering structured play-based learning activities that foster early literacy numeracy and personal social and emotional development. You will provide additional support to children who require personalised attention helping them access the curriculum and develop independence.
You will also assist with observations assessment and maintaining accurate records of pupil progress. Creating a nurturing safe and stimulating classroom and outdoor environment is essential to support childrens learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Support classroom activities and play-based learning in EYFS
Assist with phonics early numeracy and literacy sessions
Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils who require additional help
Encourage independence confidence and positive learning behaviours
Support pupils social emotional and communication development
Observe and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
Work collaboratively with teachers and other EYFS staff
Help maintain a safe structured and stimulating learning environment
Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents
Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the welfare of all pupils
