Job Summary

A prestigious independent school in Bristol is looking for a sophisticated HR Manager to lead their professional support services.

  • The School: Set in historic grounds this independent school serves a scholarly student body and employs a high number of specialist peripatetic and academic staff. The working environment is refined intellectual and highly professional.

  • The Role: You will provide a gold-standard HR service managing the nuances of independent school contracts and the unique requirements of the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Compliance: Ensuring 100% compliance with ISI safer recruitment standards and managing the complex vetting requirements for boarding staff.

    • Payroll & Pensions: Overseeing the monthly payroll run and administering the Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS) and LGPS.

    • CPD Coordination: Working with the Bursar to manage the professional development budget for non-teaching staff.

  • Start Date: ASAP (Full-time Permanent)

  • Salary Range: (Regional Scale)
