The Role & Responsibilities Supporting the Head of English you will deliver a sophisticated curriculum that prepares students for top-tier university entrance and a lifelong engagement with the humanities.
Academic Delivery: Teaching English Literature and Language from KS3 through to A-Level with a focus on critical theory classical texts and contemporary global voices.
Oxbridge & Ivy League Preparation: Providing bespoke mentorship mock interviews and extension reading lists for students applying for English and related disciplines at the worlds most elite universities.
Co-Curricular Impact: Leading the schools prestigious Debating Society overseeing the student-led literary magazine or coordinating annual Poetry Slams.
Assessment & Feedback: Utilising the schools sophisticated tracking systems to provide nuanced high-level feedback that pushes high-attaining students toward top grades.
Requirements
Degree: A 1st Class or 2:1 degree in English or a related discipline from a leading university.
QTS: Mandatory for this permanent position.
Right to Work: Valid right to work in the UK is essential.
Salary & Contract Details
Salary Range:(M1 UPS3 equivalent)
Contract: Full-time Permanent ASAP Start
