Job Summary
Our client is seeking a proactive and technically confident IT Support Engineer to join a welcoming independent school in Basingstoke. This is a varied hands-on role supporting staff and pupils across the school ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and delivering excellent day-to-day IT support in an educational environment.
The Role
As the IT Support Engineer you will provide first- and second-line support across the school ensuring systems devices and classroom technology operate smoothly. You will work closely with teaching and support staff responding to issues efficiently while maintaining high standards of service and security.
Key Responsibilities
Providing responsive IT support to staff and students
Troubleshooting hardware software and network issues
Supporting classroom technology AV equipment and interactive displays
Managing user accounts devices and permissions
Assisting with system maintenance updates and security procedures
Supporting school events assessments and day-to-day operations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience in an IT Support Engineer or IT Technician role
Strong working knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft 365
Experience supporting end users in a busy environment
Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
