Job Summary

We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years specialist who is passionate about providing high-quality education and care during the earliest stages of childrens development.

As a Nursery Teacher you will plan deliver and assess a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the individual needs of each child. You will create engaging learning opportunities that support early literacy numeracy communication social and emotional skills. You will work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive in their first formal learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan deliver and assess high-quality Nursery and EYFS lessons

  • Promote early literacy numeracy communication and language skills

  • Support childrens social emotional and personal development

  • Create a safe stimulating and inclusive learning environment

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children including SEND and EAL

  • Observe assess and accurately record childrens progress

  • Foster independence confidence and positive behaviour

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues

  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers providing regular feedback

  • Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification

  • Have experience teaching in Nursery or Early Years settings

  • Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic

  • Demonstrate strong classroom organisation and behaviour management

  • Have a secure understanding of the EYFS framework

  • Be reflective adaptable and proactive

  • Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and child wellbeing
