We are seeking a dedicated experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Luton starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential academically socially and emotionally.

The Role
As an SEN Teacher you will take a lead role in planning delivering and assessing lessons for pupils with additional needs. You will support pupils learning in line with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets provide personalised interventions and work closely with teaching assistants colleagues and parents to ensure continuity of support. You will also monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
You will be responsible for promoting positive behaviour independence and resilience ensuring pupils feel confident included and motivated to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons for pupils with SEND
Implement and monitor IEPs and EHCP targets
Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils academic and personal development
Promote positive behaviour independence and resilience
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Collaborate closely with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Support transitions enrichment activities and school events
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are strictly followed
Who Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching pupils with SEND ideally in a mainstream or specialist setting
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective adaptable and proactive
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively as part of a professional supportive team
