Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect / Data Modeller to design develop and implement enterprise-level data architecture solutions in a complex distributed environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping data warehouse and analytics solutions that support business intelligence reporting and insights generation across the organization.

This is a hands-on onsite role requiring strong technical expertise stakeholder collaboration and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise data architecture for application development BI and analytics
Define data flow database structures storage strategies and access methods
Design and maintain enterprise data models and data dictionaries
Translate complex business and technical requirements into executable development work packages
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs
Support ETL pipeline development testing defect resolution and performance tuning
Optimize data models schemas and database performance
Coordinate with integration teams to identify future data and reporting requirements
Produce and maintain high-quality functional and detailed design documentation
Support Power BI reporting and analytics solutions
Lead knowledge transfer and training sessions for client and development teams

Must-Have Skills & Experience

7 years of experience in data modelling and data warehouse design
2 years hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake and Azure Databricks SQL Warehouse
5 years strong SQL experience (T-SQL preferred)
Expert knowledge of dimensional modeling and Delta Lake concepts
Proven experience building enterprise data warehouse solutions on the Microsoft Azure stack:
- Azure Data Lake
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Power BI
Experience with BI metadata modeling and report design (Power BI)
Strong experience with MS SQL Server technologies
Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL stored procedures for reporting and datamarts
Experience with performance tuning and schema optimization
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps

Nice-to-Have / Assets

Experience with IBM Curam COTS solutions (Social Assistance Management Systems)
Knowledge of ETL design concepts
Experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools:
- TOGAF
- ArchiMate
- Zachman
Experience using data modeling tools such as SAP PowerDesigner or Visio
