Job Summary

Position: Lead Boiler Technician (Steam & Hydronic Systems)

Job Type: Full Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled full-time Boiler Technician to manage the operation maintenance and emergency repair of commercial boilers and heating systems. The ideal candidate is a master of both low/high-pressure steam and hydronic (hot water) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Emergency service and repair: provide 24/7 emergency troubleshooting for system failures e.g. low water cutoff vessel alarms no heat calls etc.
System Maintenance: Perform seasonal startups combustion analysis and preventative maintenance on both steam and hot water boilers.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex electrical mechanical and piping issues including pumps traps valves and control logic.
Start up and commissioning of new installations.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years experience in troubleshooting and maintaining boilers.
Dual Expertise: Proven experience with both Steam and Hot Water (condensing and non-condensing) systems.
Manufacturer Knowledge: High proficiency with leading brands such as Cleaver-Brooks Superior UniLux Lochinvar Aerco etc. (The more experience the better).
Advanced Diagnostics: Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot modern PLC-based control systems.

A system-wide thinker who understands how the boiler interacts with the rest of the buildings infrastructure.
Detail-oriented regarding safety protocols and pressure vessel regulations.
Service driven to assure the highest level of customer satisfaction and customer retainage.
