Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Flex Pool to support night shifts across multiple medical and surgical units. This role requires flexibility strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different patient care environments. The RN will float between designated units as needed to ensure safe high-quality patient care.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM 7:15 AM)
Scheduled 36 hours per week following completion of orientation
No guarantee of hours
Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care across assigned medical and surgical units
Float between units based on staffing and patient care needs
Safely administer medications and treatments
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Units Covered

Medical Unit
Surgical Acute Care Unit
Cardiovascular Unit (rare occasions)

Patient Ratios (may vary based on census and staffing)

Medical Unit: 1:8 (nights)
Surgical Acute Unit: 1:6
Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4

EMR: EPIC
Pyxis
Wound vacs
Chest tubes

Orientation & Training

Unit-specific orientation provided for each department

Requirements

Active state RN license (must be active by assignment start)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience (up to 10 years preferred)
Current BLS certification required
ACLS required
Preferred certifications: PALS Procedural Sedation TNCC ENPC
Ability to float between multiple units
Must comply with immunization requirements (medical or religious exemptions not accepted in lieu of proof of immunity)
