We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN) to provide high-acuity patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment. This role requires clinical flexibility strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to float to PCU or Medical-Surgical units during periods of low ICU census.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive critical care nursing services to ICU and CCU patients.
Monitor assess and respond to changes in patient condition utilizing advanced clinical judgment.
Administer medications manage ventilators and invasive lines and perform complex patient assessments.
Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Accurately document patient care and interventions using the Cerner EMR system.
Float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical-Surgical units as needed based on census.
Participate in weekend and holiday coverage including consecutive weekends when required.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to contract start.
Minimum 5 years of ICU or Critical Care experience.
Proven ability to float to PCU and Med-Surg units as needed.
Flexibility to work rotating 12-hour shifts and consecutive weekends.
BLS/BCLS (required)
ACLS (required)
Additional certifications such as PALS NRP or other critical care certifications preferred per facility standards.
Holiday coverage required (holiday rate applies only if the shift begins on the holiday).
Bilingual not required.
State compliance requirements differ from other Hawaii health systems; advance contracting not required.
