Job Summary
As a Packaging Specialist you will be responsible for packaging blended spices and seasonings to meet customer specifications.
Shifts available:
- First Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
- Second Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
Starting Pay: $19/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow batch card instructions to package seasonings and spices accurately.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control Lab to ensure product standards before packaging.
- Ensure labeling accuracy by coordinating with a supervisor at the start and completion of packaging runs.
- Oversee cleanliness safety and productivity within the packaging room.
- Record production data and resolve discrepancies between batch weight and output.
- Maintain machinery and troubleshoot issues to ensure consistent production.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Warehouse experience particularly in food manufacturing.
- Machine operator experience is preferred.
Skills:
- Attention to detail.
- Dependability and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Basic math and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to read write and understand English
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and walk long distances.
- Capable of pushing pulling lifting and carrying heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform tasks involving extended arm movements and manual dexterity.
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders.
- Ability to work in noisy dusty environments and withstand temperature extremes.
