Job Summary
As a Senior Data Scientist you will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our platform by analyzing large volumes of data (tracking listings etc.). You will work closely with the product and technical teams to streamline the key product experience and improve the quality of the product
Tasks
User Experience Optimization:
Design and improve recommendation models to personalize product listings based on each users preferences and behavior. You will work on search algorithms to ensure a smooth and intuitive experience.Improving Listing Quality:
Detect and correct anomalies in the product listings while proposing solutions to enrich the data and ensure its reliability.Platform Optimization:
Rethink the interaction betweem users and vendors by improving platform features to facilitate connections and make the user experience faster and more efficient.Mentoring and Supervision:
As a Senior Data Scientist you will be responsible for supporting and training junior team members helping them develop their technical skills and understanding of models. You will also supervise data science projects ensuring their progress during the R&D phase and guaranteeing the quality reliability and accuracy of predictions for both internal and external end users.
Requirements
- Passionate about data science statistics and their applications in digital platforms
- Creative mindset with the ability to propose innovative solutions
- Autonomous detail-oriented and results-driven
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams and to support junior team members in their development
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in data science and machine learning (recommendation systems classification algorithms etc.)
- Proficiency with data science tools (Python SQL Scikit-learn etc.); knowledge of the AWS environment is a plus
- Experience working with large-scale and heterogeneous databases
- Knowledge of user behavior data (tracking Google Analytics) is an asset
Experience:
- Experience in data science or a similar role
- Experience in a digital platform or real estate environment is a strong advantage
- Solid experience working in multidisciplinary teams and the ability to understand both product and technical needs
