Job Summary

Principal Platform Engineer

Houston TX Mon-Wed onsite Th/F wfh

Role:

Principal Platform Engineer operating at a senior architectural level to help drive the strategy and vision for the Internal Developer Platform. This includes partnering with teams across the US and Sri Lanka enabling self service infrastructure and owning a platform that integrates with ServiceNow and Jira.

Key Skills & Background:

Deep cloud experience across AWS and GCP

Kubernetes platform expertise with GKE/EKS

Strong architectural and development foundations

Security experience (supply chain automation guardrails)

Experience at Fortune 500 scale environments

Ability to influence and evangelize platform adoption across 1700 developers

Comfortable partnering across global engineering teams governance cloud and architecture

Need someone who can operate as a thought leader vs. purely hands on

Team & Expectations:

1700 developers and 60 applications supported by the IDP

Hybrid Houston preferred (M W) but open to exceptional talent outside the area

Candidate will work closely with internal customers to drive adoption

Strong collaboration with Sri Lanka teams (occasional early/late meetings)
