Java Full Stack Developer (GCP)

Description:
UST is looking for a Java Full Stack Developer with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to design build and operate modern web applications. Youll own features end to end-from responsive UI through REST APIs and microservices-while leveraging GCP services for scalability security and reliability. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts and technical experts in the team.

Responsibilities:
Backend: Develop scalable services using Java 11 Spring Boot and REST/GraphQL APIs; implement domain models integration layers and automated tests.
Frontend: Build responsive UIs with React or Angular (TypeScript modern component patterns testing).
Cloud (GCP):
o Deploy and manage workloads on GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) or Cloud Run.
o Use Cloud Storage Cloud SQL Firestore and BigQuery for data storage and analytics.
o Implement APIs via Cloud Endpoints or API Gateway.
o Build serverless components with Cloud Functions.
o Configure IAM roles/policies service accounts and VPC networking.
CI/CD: Automate pipelines using Cloud Build integrate with GitHub/GitLab; manage artifacts in Artifact Registry.
Observability: Implement logging and monitoring with Cloud Logging Cloud Monitoring and OpenTelemetry.
Security: Apply IAM best practices secrets management and OWASP guidelines
Agile delivery: Participate in sprints code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Requirements:
8 years of professional experience in Java Spring Boot.
Front end proficiency in React or Angular.
Hands on experience with GCP services including:
Compute: GKE Cloud Run
Storage: Cloud Storage Cloud SQL Firestore
Networking & Security: IAM VPC service accounts
Integration: Cloud Endpoints/API Gateway Pub/Sub
Serverless: Cloud Functions
Experience with Docker Kubernetes and CI/CD (Cloud Build or equivalent).
Strong SQL and familiarity with NoSQL (Firestore).
Knowledge of microservices event driven architecture and secure coding practices.
Java/JEE Spring Spring boot REST/SOAP web services Hibernate SQL Tomcat Application servers (WebSphere) SONAR Agile AJAX Jenkins. etc.
