Job Summary

We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for one of our clients in BridgeportWV.

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect personal care service given to residents in their apartment.

Essential Functions:

Ensures quality and safe delivery of services by participating in development and implementation of resident service plan to implement goals designed to promote the maximum level of functioning for each individual in the assisted living setting.
Documents in the resident records in an accurate and timely manner to reflect the delivery of quality and safe services designed to meet the needs of the individual resident.
Ensures continuing promotion of the residents physical and emotional health by assisting and teaching the resident regarding his/her medical care (documents if resident refuses to follow plan of service in residents chart).
Complies with Assisted Living Policies and Procedures.
Participates in resident service plan conference as appropriate.
Provides personal care services which reflect the plan of service for each resident.
Follows Infection Control and Safety Policies and Procedures per policy.
Observes that resident conditions are accurately reported to the Resident Services Director on a timely basis.
Organizes and completes assignments on time.
Recognizes significant changes in the conditions of residents and takes necessary action.
Responsible for the detection of and ensuring correction of situations that have a high probability of causing accidents or injuries to residents and staff.
Evaluates emergencies and determines emergency measures to be used which are acceptable under assisted living standards and fall within the Good Samaritan guidelines and Nurse Practice Act.
Participates in in-service and staff meetings as directed.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
Must possess the ability to plan organize develop implement and interpret the program goals objectives policies and procedures etc. that are necessary for providing quality care.
Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.
Must be familiar with drug actions and interactions.
Performs other activities as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Minimum Skills Knowledge and Abilities

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing RN or LVN
1 or more years of management experience in an Assisted Living or Memory Care community in a similar role
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents families physicians and associates
Strong written communication and computer skills
Availability to work outside of normal operating hours including evenings and weekends is required
Must possess or be willing to acquire a valid drivers license to drive on company time as needed

Physical Demands

Requires moderately heavy physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis.
Regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel.
Frequently required to stand walk reach with hands and arms sit stoop kneel crouch crawl talk and hear.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close peripheral depth perception and ability to focus.

Work hours:

Shift: Frist shift
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Meal: 30 minutes
Contract Weeks: 2
Days: Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat

Notes:

8hr coverage (8-5 or 9-6 depending on preference)
