Job Summary:
This is a 13-week contract-to-permanent LPN position within an outpatient oncology clinic. The LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care under the direction of an RN including patient follow-up phone calls pain assessment/management pharmacy calls/refill requests and telephone triage. The role requires comfort and skill in direct patient care within an oncology setting.
Location:Aberdeen Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out physician orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Conduct follow-up phone calls to patients.
- Perform pain assessments and management.
- Handle pharmacy calls and refill requests.
- Perform telephone triage.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active LPN/LVN license in the state of working.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of LPN experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Experience working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
Special Considerations:
- Must be interested in a temp-to-perm position.
- Locals only.
- Possible floating to Centralia in the event of a call-out.
Scheduling:
- 4 day work week.
- Specific shift details to be discussed during the interview.
