Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will work in a mixed acuity unit (PCU MS Tele and MS) and is responsible for providing nursing care to patients with various diagnoses including surgical pre and post-operative patients and overflow medical patients. The role requires experience in PCU/IMC within the last 3 years and proficiency in telemetry and managing cardiac drips.

Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in a mixed acuity setting (PCU MS Tele and MS).
- Monitor and manage patients with telemetry PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown needs.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Care for post-MI patients.
- Implement and manage IV insulin protocols.
- Provide feeding tube care and management.
- Manage continuous bladder irrigation.
- Care for patients with renal failure.
- Access ports administer blood products and manage central and PICC lines.
- Perform phlebotomy and manage peripheral lines.
- Implement heparin protocols.
- Manage cardiac drips (no titration).
- Administer PCA and thrombolytic agents.
- Care for patients with CVA seizure disorders and substance withdrawal.
- Provide care for ortho trauma peripheral nerve block catheters total joint replacements and traction patients.
- Care for patients undergoing mastectomy and chest tube management.
- Manage external CPAP/BIPAP and high flow nasal cannula.
- Interpret ABGs and manage various oxygen delivery systems.
- Perform non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy management.
- Adhere to isolation precautions and provide wound care/wound vac.
- Document patient care in EPIC.
- Utilize Pyxis for medication management.
- Communicate effectively using SBAR.
- Provide nursing care to patients in a mixed acuity setting (PCU MS Tele and MS).

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license
- PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years
- MS/Tele experience
- Telemetry skills
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience

Special Considerations:
- May be required to float to sister units (West 2 West 3 and Observation unit).
- Every other weekend requirement.

Scheduling:
- Ratios: 1:3-5 for days and weekends; 1:3-6 for nights.
- 12-hour orientation.
- Maximum 7 days RTO.
