Java Architect with AWS and Databricks

Position: Architect (J2EE)- Java AWS and Databricks experience along with Securities Lending domain knowledge

• 10 to 12 years of hands-on development experience and experience in providing solutions to complex business functions
• Strong background in both development and architecture particularly with the following skill sets:
  • Core Java
  • Web Application Development (ReactJS)
  • J2EE
  • Oracle
  • Unix Shell Scripting
  • Web Services
    • AWS
      • Databricks
  • Securities Lending (Banking domain expertise)

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise in cloud-based application design and architecture with a focus on scalability reliability and performance optimization in AWS
• Hands-on experience with Databricks particularly in data-driven cloud applications
• Ability to visualize the entire application landscape and guide the technical team in aligning architecture with business goals
• Proactively track and resolve technical impediments to ensure timely project completion
• In-depth understanding of the Securities Lending domain including its processes technologies and solutions within the banking/financial services industry
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills driving results in collaborative team environments
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Detailed Skill Set:

• Core Java:
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts (Inheritance Abstraction Interfaces)
  • In-depth knowledge of the JVM and Java environment
  • Strong expertise in Java language
• Web Application Development:
  • Proficient in HTML JavaScript AJAX
  • In-depth understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols
  • Proficient in DOM with experience designing UI with CSS
• Enterprise Java:
  • Strong experience in developing J2EE applications using concepts like Distributed Transactional Computing
  • Expertise in N-tier architecture and container services
  • Familiar with EJB JMS Security Transaction JNDI and Connectors
  • Experience with MVC frameworks such as Struts Spring MVCORM/Persistence frameworks like JPA Hibernate
• Oracle:
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts
  • Expertise in SQL
• AWS:
  • Proficiency in AWS architecture including EC2 S3 Lambda and other AWS services
  • Ability to design and implement cloud solutions for scalability performance and security
• Databricks:
  • Experience working with Databricks for big data analytics and cloud-based data engineering solutions
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark and Databricks notebooks for data processing and machine learning
• Banking (Securities Lending):
  • Solid understanding of Securities Lending operations including trade execution collateral management and risk management within financial institutions
  • Experience in building solutions that integrate with banking systems and financial products in the Securities Lending domain
