Job Summary
| The California Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking IV&V and quality assurance support for the Firearm Information Technology System Modernization (FITSM) initiative with the vendor providing independent oversight and actionable recommendations across planning and execution activities including review of PAL Stage 3 and Stage 4 deliverables/artifacts and broader project risk and quality controls (e.g. requirements and solicitation/SI SOW traceability project management best-practice alignment change management readiness data migration risk reduction and recurring QA/IV&V reporting). The engagement is structured as deliverables-based (fixed cost) work executed through Work Authorizations with an initial 12-month term starting 04/10/2026 and up to two additional 12-month extensions (maximum 36 months). |
1 Bachelors-level degree from a recognized college or university in an IT-related or Engineering field. Alternatively qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
2 A minimum of five (5) years of experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity. four (4) or more years in lead capacity.
3 A minimum of three (3) years of progressively complex experience and intermediate-level skill in analysis design programming and testing.
4 A minimum of two (2) years of experience developing testing or maintaining large management information applications.
