Job Summary

Job Title: Backfill IT Project Manager (PMP PMI-ACP Government COTS Agile/Waterfall)

Location: Albany NY(Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Qualifications:

Proven experience managing and leading multiple large-scale complex IT projects for U.S. Government agencies in the role of Project Manager. Large projects include budgets exceeding $500K durations over 12 months multiple funding sources (federal and grant-based) third-party vendor management external stakeholder coordination multi-level project teams and deployments to geographically distributed end users.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing comprehensive project plans including Charter Scope Schedule Cost Quality Communications Change Risk Issue and Resource Management across the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout.
Extensive experience creating and managing detailed project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project tracking progress and variances against baselines and applying Waterfall Agile and Hybrid methodologies. Skilled in facilitating standard PM practices (e.g. Scrum ceremonies) and delivering clear schedule and status reports to ITS and client agency leadership.
Strong background in developing reviewing and managing detailed Scope Documents overseeing project deliverables managing formal acceptance processes and controlling scope through structured change request management.
Experience in project quality management including quality planning quality assurance end-to-end system testing quality control user acceptance testing (UAT) defect tracking metrics reporting and quality governance.
Hands-on experience managing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software implementations and in-house application development projects across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Project Management Professional (PMP ) and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP ) certified.
