Your mission
- You own the frontend architecture and technical direction of the platform ensuring scalability performance reliability and long-term maintainability
- You drive the evolution of our React-based frontend including state management server-side rendering with and modern build and deployment tooling
- You define and uphold engineering standards across code quality testing performance accessibility and security
- You make sound technical decisions and ensure strong alignment with backend platform and product architecture
- You lead coach and develop a team of frontend engineers including hiring onboarding performance development and career growth
- You foster a high-trust high-accountability engineering culture focused on feedback learning ownership and craftsmanship
- You enable collaboration pairing knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team
- You act as the primary frontend point of contact for Product Design and Engineering leadership
- You support the transition from functionally separated teams to cross-functional value-aligned teams where it makes sense
- You own frontend delivery outcomes ensuring predictable planning prioritisation quality and execution
- You work closely with Product Management and Design to translate business and user needs into executable technical roadmaps
- You balance feature delivery platform evolution and technical debt in a sustainable way
Your profile
- 5 years of experience building robust scalable and performant web applications using React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of React state management patterns (e.g. Redux or alternatives) and frontend architecture principles.
- Experience with Server-Side Rendering (e.g. ) modern build tooling (Vite Webpack Rollup) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with technical integration of advertising platforms including ad serving tracking implementation and tag management.
- Proven ability to collaborate closely with UX/UI designers backend engineers and product managers.
- First hand experience leading mentoring or coordinating other developers (either formally as a Team Lead or informally as a senior technologist).
- Strong ownership mindset: you care about outcomes not just output.
- Excellent English skills for working in our international team; German is a plus.
