Location: Seattle WA

Duration: 9 Months

Schedule: No fixed in-office days; onsite presence depends on project phase and needs

Working Hours: Full-time standard business hours (9:00 AM 5:00 PM)

Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) team supports clients Forums and News space playing a critical role in ensuring high-quality user experiences as new front-end features are launched.
The team focuses on user experience testing integration testing and validating new seller-facing features before release.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain a simple spreadsheet-based testing schedule (tracking current and upcoming features under test).
Partner closely with Product Managers to understand expected feature behavior and requirements.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to validate that implemented functionality meets documented specifications.
Execute test and re-test cycles for new and existing features.
Support and contribute to test automation efforts improving efficiency and repeatability.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced test coverage.
Apply curiosity and critical thinking to continuously improve product quality.

Communication & Collaboration

Participate in a weekly touch base with the Hiring Manager (email updates are acceptable).
Maintain regular communication with:
Engineers (as needed based on feature ownership)
Project Managers (as needed)
Clearly document findings defects and recommendations.

Core QA Skill Set Ability to create test plans and effectively communicate with Engineering and Product teams.
Test Planning & Execution Experience executing structured test cases and validating feature behavior.
Basic Scripting / Limited Programming Skills Ability to write simple scripts or leverage tools for automation.

Required Experience & Qualifications

4 years of industry experience testing software applications including web-based platforms.
Strong understanding of manual QA processes and exposure to test automation.
Experience with HTML JavaScript Java and SQL is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced evolving environment.
