JOB TITLE: Components Engineer

PAY RATE: $55/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Support component selection and analysis for new designs and DMSMS risk mitigation.

• Lead components engineering efforts in obsolescence management standardization and part qualification.

• Define engineering data part standards and procurement control requirements.

• Resolve component quality issues and drive process improvements.

• Coordinate with vendors procurement customers and subcontractors on component-related matters.

• Manage part substitutions second-source qualifications and counterfeit avoidance.

• Prepare procurement specifications and support development and production issue resolution.

• Process BOM changes using PLM systems (Agile Windchill).

Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance preferred; inactive clearance considered.

• Interim clearance required to start.

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related field.

• Experience in electrical component manufacturing processes and physical property analysis.

• Components Engineering experience with electronic components (ICs and discrete devices).

• Experience with new component releases and qualification processes.

• Experience processing BOM changes in Agile or Windchill PLM systems.

• Experience in parts selection and qualification.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
