Job Summary
A Firewall Operations Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of TECO/PGS network firewalls. This will include working tickets for firewall change requests working with projects to advise from a network security perspective and troubleshooting network issues that from a firewall perspective.
Additional responsibilities include the patching and maintenance of Checkpoint firewalls.
Strong knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls VPN configuration/troubleshooting and network security best practices is a requirement.
Experience with regulatory compliance environments is preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Network/firewall troubleshooting including troubleshooting issues with Checkpoint firewalls and Cisco Routers/Switches.
Planning engineering and implementing of firewall changes.
Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and business partners for network security/firewall changes.
Regular attendance of project meetings as a representative of the Firewall Operations team.
Maintenance and support of network firewalls. Tasks including regular patching upgrades and troubleshooting of firewall hardware.
Adherence to changing management process
Technical writing to include documentation of firewall changes and documenting standards.
Regular on-call rotation for firewall related issues.
