Position Summary:

The Centre Project Officer provides high-quality operational administrative and coordination support to the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) National Office. The role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Centre supporting executive coordination and the effective delivery of CSIs national professional development programs.

Working closely with course facilitators senior leaders and external stakeholders the Centre Project Officer supports the delivery of in-person and virtual programs including Governance for Social Impact Social Impact Leadership Australia and The Giving Academy. The role contributes to efficient program administration systems management stakeholder communication and financial and operational processes.

In addition to program support the position provides executive-level administrative assistance to senior team members including the CEO and supports a range of centre-wide initiatives aligned with organisational priorities. Reporting to the National Social Impact Industry Director this role has no direct reports and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that advances positive social change across communities.

Skills & Experience

At Level 5

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education training and/or experience.
  • Advanced interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A strong understanding of the not-for-profit sector and/or education sector is highly regarded.

Level 6 (in addition to Level 5 Skills)

  • Ability to plan organise and co-ordinate projects and tasks.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work proactively and well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers supporting basic financial processes.
  • Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
