Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the medical surgical department to ensure optimal patient care and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance surgical services and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with medical staff to establish clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Monitor department performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively.
- Foster a culture of teamwork collaboration and continuous improvement among staff.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of surgical practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Current (or eligible) New Mexico RN license required.
- Seven years healthcare experience with at least three years experience in a leadership role.
- Must possess a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Advanced degree (MSN Healthcare Administration and MBA) strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred.
- Experience building a team focused on quality initiatives.
- Experience facilitating relationships with providers.
