Our thriving multidisciplinary Water Engineering team in the Southeast is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing teams within our St Albans Croydon London Aldgate & Basingstoke offices.

The team is delivering an exciting portfolio of water programmes and projects through long term frameworks with key clients including major UK water companies (such as locally - Thames Water Affinity Water and Southern Water) Tier 1 contractors and international projects.

A selection of projects that our team is currently working on includes strategic water pipelines London Power Tunnels HS2 utilities design WTW UV upgrades Thames Water mains rehabilitation and Mogden STW upgrades and Southern Water STW upgrades.

Working flexibly from Southern UK locations youll visit client sites in and around the South and collaborate with teams across multi-year frameworks. As part of our thriving business youll take on rewarding multi-disciplinary projects from inception to delivery creating innovative solutions that enhance the environment and improve communities.

Heres what youll do:

• Collaborate: Work closely with our teams of engineers hydraulic modellers environmental scientists and technical specialists to deliver a wide range of projects in within the UK and overseas to a high level of quality. Liaise with clients to develop scope price proposals and communicate project progress.
• Deliver: Produce feasibility studies outline designs detailed designs reports and technical specifications.
• Leadership: Undertake line manager responsibilities for junior staff providing guidance and management to them as well as completing performance evaluations for those assigned.
• Quality: Ensure compliance of design with all applicable standards and regulations and provide technical expertise for interdisciplinary analytical studies.

Qualifications :

Ready to push the limits of whats possible

Heres what were looking for:

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification or demonstratable equivalent experience.
• Proven experience within the water sector at the Senior level.
• Chartered or Incorporated with a relevant institution e.g. ICE CIWEM or working towards chartered status.
• Experience of undertaking engineering assessments options appraisals engineering calculations and / or economic appraisals.
• Experience of outline and / or detailed design preferably of wastewater / water treatment schemes and / or flood risk management / assessment or drainage schemes.
