FLINT is seeking QC Advisors - Night shift for a project-based role in Empress Alberta starting late June 2026 through October 2026. The scope includes heavy rigging mechanical and piping work critical lifts and pre-planning with primarily bolt-up piping and limited onsite welding. This position follows a 12 & 2 rotation with 10-hour days and offers a $165/day LOA.
What would you be doing
- Overseeing quality control activities.
- Inspecting and verifying mechanical piping structural components and bolt-up assemblies for compliance with project specifications.
- Reviewing hydro shop work and limited on-site CWB welding to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitoring critical lifts ( lbs) to ensure proper procedures are followed and documentation is complete.
- Supporting pre-planning to identify potential quality issues and implementing corrective measures.
- Performing inspections audits and reporting non-conformances to project management.
- Coordinating with supervisors and construction teams to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry codes.
- Maintaining quality records documentation and reports throughout the project duration.
- Participating in project meetings to communicate quality concerns and recommend improvements.

Qualifications :
- Post-secondary education in Engineering Mechanical/Structural discipline or Quality Management.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in mechanical piping structural projects or rigging QC.
- Strong understanding of project specifications codes and standards.
- Experience inspecting critical lifts bolt-up piping and CWB welding.
- Skilled in documentation quality reporting and non-conformance tracking.

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
