Scanning Worker

Reporting to Inventory Control Manager this role is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Central Kitchen facility. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.

Major Responsibilities:

• Maintain the Department activity ensuring that goals are properly communicated and attained.
• Ensure that all products produced in the facility meet the standards for quality and portion size.
• Ensure products are properly labeled and loaded into totes.
• Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures including cleaning sanitation government regulation and food safety.
• Ensure proper Health & Safety practices are adhered to for efficiency and work safety.
• Practice proper care and maintenance of all equipment.
• May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.

Work & Sensory Environment:

• Required to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment during shift.
• Lack of control over pace due to multiple and/or tight deadlines beyond ones control.
• Ability to work in a cool environment for prolonged periods (4 to 6 degrees Celsius).
• Exposure to workplace hazards including the potential of icy floors spills and equipment malfunctions.
• Required to lift carry and/or handle heavy objects.
• Required to stand for extended periods of time while performing production work.
• Repetitive bending and twisting movements are required.
