Job Summary
Responsibilities
- provide full scope of practice
- participate in call rotation
- be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Internal Medicine for professional responsibilities and quality of practice
- operate with the Medical Staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health
- participate in teaching both medical students and internal medicine residents and fellows
Expected Hours
Full-time compensation is fee for service with flexible vacation time. Endoscopy time to be allocated based on wait times and practice requirements.
- on-call requirement (1:7 at full complement)
- flexible vacation; maternity/paternity leave (Doctors Nova Scotia); health and dental benefits (Doctors Nova Scotia)
- compensation is fee for service - annual income will depend solely on your own clinical output
- specialists receive call stipends and other incentives as available through the MasterAgreement of Nova Scotia
Qualifications :
Candidates must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or eligible to take the Fellowship Exam in Internal Medicine. Must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
