JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate is $22.75 - $31.15 per hour

Shift: Full-Time Day Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Warehouse/Driver ensures inventory control through correct placement of product within warehouse.  Ensures safety of people and materials in all locations by following Company guidelines on lifting stacking and operation of motorized equipment. Performs all functions in accordance with safety policies and procedures to maintain a quality product during storage and shipment.

• Maintain safe work practices and equipment per training and OSHA guidelines with emphasis on technique motorized equipment and safe operation of tools.  Work toward 100% participation in safety team meetings for OSHA training and get involved with the WSP program to promote a safer work environment.  Continue to work toward better housekeeping in the warehouse and get involved in the 5S program while sustaining already certified areas.
• Always operate motorized equipment responsibly and safely.
• Obey all local state federal and DOT regulations related to your CDL licensing. Report any off-duty violations using Violation Report Form.
• Be proficient and efficient operating a tractor and trailer.
• Shuttling product between warehouses.
• Backing in trailers.
• Ensuring load is stable before transporting.
• Maintain and monitor trailers for the loading schedule.
• Maintain trailer lots and docks in an orderly manner. 
• Truck Drivers must also meet Warehouse Job Expectations.
• Assist in warehouse when driving duties are fulfilled.
• Work in the mandatory overtime rotation with the warehouse.
• Fill in for other drivers off first. If none off you will work in the warehouse. 
• Complete all paperwork accurately and timely including safety check sheets.
• Plan your work and be flexible with breaks and lunch times. Observe the company break policy.
• Be a team player in all areas seeking facility excellence instead of personal or shift excellence. Get involved with team activities where applicable.
• Strive for continuous improvement of job knowledge for individual growth while sharing that knowledge to benefit others.

Qualifications :

• Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License
• Have an acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Ability to read write and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental ability to handle receipts read maps read road signs maintain electronic logs and safety control devices etc.
• Ability to follow instructions and take directions via on-board computer system and by phone and e-mail
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment
• Travel as required
