Activity Activities Aide Part Time Weekend hours

When youre a patient games music and engagement can be the highlight of your day. We know that emotional well-being is just as important as clinical care and thats where you come in.

Were seeking an Activity Aide to involve residents in a therapeutic engagement program.  You will help residents with life enrichment activities and a variety of entertainment options to help keep them engaged in their recovery programs.  We are seeking candidates with a strong background in sports culture music and traditional recreational activities to help bring joy structure and stimulation to those in our care.

What Youll Do

Lead engaging group activities ranging from fitness and games to music and arts
Lead stimulating individual cognitive and memory retention events for our long-term residents
Contribute to programs that keep short-term patients motivated and engaged
Maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare (EMR system)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to individualize programming

Qualifications :

Activities Aide (in other centers this may be called a Life Enrichment Coordinator)

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Prior experience as an Activity Aide in a setting/facility strongly preferred
• Must have computer knowledge
• Must be able to push pull move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds

Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and criminal history background check

This center is managed by TRANSITIONAL CARE MANAGEMENT.  We currently provide comprehensive management services to several inpatient healthcare centers throughout Northern IL & the Chicagoland area. These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs) Short-term Care Rehabilitation Intermediate Care (ICFs) and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
