JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies procedures and practices for the Human Resource department. Supports human resources operations focusing on high-volume recruitment employee relations and safety compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the first point of contact for Team Member inquiries resolve issues and foster a positive safe work environment.
- Support the full recruitment cycle by recruiting interviewing and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions. Collaborate with leaders to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Facilitate and deliver onboarding program and work with leaders to ensure successful orientation of new hires into the organization.
- Provide guidance to supervisors on team member performance development and corrective actions.
- Partner with the Benefits Team as a liaison for leave of absence and disability requests.
- Coordinate special events and Team Member recognition programs.
- Cultivate positive work relationships at all levels of the plant.
- Maintain accurate confidential human resources files and ensure compliance with federal state and local labor laws.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant setting with wet/slippery floors varying degrees of temperatures with an average temperature of 40 degrees in the production area. Team Members will be exposed to raw and/or cooked meat products and moving equipment and will be required to follow all Food Safety Quality requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job the Team Member will be required to wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. beard/hairnet ear plugs frock boots etc.) walk stand for extended periods of time and repetitive use of hands/arms to push pull reach and occasionally lift above head. The Team Member must occasionally lift push pull up to 25 pounds and 50 pounds infrequently. The position involves exposure to the odor and possible contact with food products spices and sauces. Team Members are requested to visually inspect equipment and/or product.
Qualifications :
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred.
- 3 years of HR experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience with high-volume staffing.
- Knowledge of employment law and other HR related concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and team members.
- Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Additional Information :
The salary range for this role is $60000 $70000(Annually). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to external market data internal equity location and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Links Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards.
