Commercial Assistant

Job Description

King & Moffatt Building Services are seeking a Commercial Assistant to support the Commercial and Project Teams across our electrical and mechanical projects.

This role is ideal for a highly organised detail-focused individual who is looking to build a career in the construction and engineering sector with exposure to commercial management cost control and project administration.

What you would do

• Assist the commercial department with project cost control and reporting
• Support the preparation of valuations variations and final accounts
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
• Help track project costs budgets and forecasts
• Assist with procurement administration and supplier queries
• Support the preparation of subcontractor payments
• Update spreadsheets cost trackers and project files
• Liaise with site teams suppliers and the finance department
• Ensure documentation is compliant with company and contractual requirements

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• Strong organisation and administration skills
• Good level of numeracy and attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Excel Word and email
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and develop

Additional Information / Desirable Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in construction engineering or commercial admin
• Knowledge of cost control or procurement
• Interest in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
• Relevant qualification (e.g. Business Construction Engineering)
