- During your internship your primary mission will be to conduct a comprehensive benchmark analysis of various RISC-V processor cores.
- You will compare them against each other and against established commercial and proprietary CPU architectures.
- Your evaluation will cover critical dimensions such as hardware efficiency: Power Performance and Area (PPA) when implemented on an ASIC.
- In addition you will evaluate architectural capabilities including the impact of standard and custom instruction set extensions.
- Last but not least you will analyze the software ecosystem including the usability maturity and performance of the associated compiler toolchains.
Qualifications :
- Education: Master studies in the field of Electrical Engineering Computer Science or comparable
- Experience and Knowledge: in C/C RTOS and VHDL or Verilog; familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git); experience with Computer Architecture and Instruction Set Architecture (ISA); knowledge of FPGA or ASIC Design Flows
- Personality and Working Practice: you are a hands-on independent proactive and organized team player with a problem-solving attitude as well as strong communication and presentation skills
- Enthusiasm: a passion for Computer Architecture; eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic tech-driven environment
- Languages: good in English and basic in German
