This full-time Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician role involves providing high-quality healthcare to female patients monitoring their reproductive health delivering babies managing chronic conditions and collaborating with the healthcare team for patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide highest quality healthcare to female patients
- Monitor patients during prenatal natal and postnatal periods
- Perform tests prescribe medications and treatments as necessary
- Deliver babies ensuring health and safety of both infant and mother
- Participate in developing and reviewing Clinics policies and services
- Deliver outpatient and in-hospital medical care
- Take responsibility for accurate charting and documentation
- Manage cases for patients with chronic conditions
- Adhere to medical and administrative protocols and ethics
- Consult Medical Director on patient management
- Recommend patients for further treatments and specialists
- Participate in staff meetings and provide input for clinic improvement
- Prescribe essential medicine to patients
- Perform related duties as directed by Medical Director
- Implement community-based patient-centered medical home process
- Facilitate audits for meeting State and Federal regulations
- Serve as preceptor for medical students and students for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant programs
- Participate in daily team meetings/huddles
- Support Nursing Staff and implement policies and procedures
- Rotate between Health Clinics as needed
required
- 3 years of experience in ALL of the following:
- Gynecology
- Obstetrics & Gynecology
- ALL of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in California (CA)
- Medical Doctor (MD) in California (CA)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
- Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS)
Schedule and Shift Details
M-F 8a-5p or 9a-6p. Weekends are possible. On-call 5-6 days/mo.
