Job Summary

ambi. is partnering with an early-stage venture capital firm looking for an Associate to join the investment team in Madrid.

This role is ideal for someone experienced within the startup ecosystem in Madridthe kind of person who naturally tracks emerging trends enjoys meeting founders and loves connecting dots between markets products and people.

Youll work side-by-side with experienced investors supporting the full investment lifecycle and contributing directly to how capital and strategic support are deployed across high-potential startups in Iberia and beyond.

What youll do

Support the end-to-end investment process: sourcing screening diligence and execution

Review and evaluate a high volume of early-stage opportunities across multiple sectors

Meet founders assess teams and help identify standout companies

Conduct market competitor and industry research to inform investment decisions

Prepare investment materials memos and internal analyses

Maintain CRM organize pipeline and document key insights

Work closely with portfolio companies supporting strategic initiatives when needed

Build and nurture relationships across the startup and investor ecosystem

Jump into cross-functional initiatives across the firm (ops marketing events special projects)

What were looking for

2-4 years of experience in a fast-paced environment (VC startups consulting strategy banking or similar) in Madrid

Strong analytical and structured thinking skills

High intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in startups and technology

Ability to work independently and take ownership

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Detail-oriented with strong organization skills

Fluency in English Spanish or Portuguese

Based in Madrid or willing to relocate

Nice to have

Previous exposure to early-stage investing or founder/operator experience

Experience evaluating business models or financial performance

Active involvement in startup communities or ecosystems
