Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical HVAC Estimator to join our team bringing between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in producing precise cost estimates for HVAC projects while reviewing specifications and ensuring competitive bids.
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Develop accurate cost estimates for HVAC installations based on detailed analysis of blueprints and specifications.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on project requirements and scopes.
- Keep an organized database of cost information regarding labor materials and market trends to inform estimations.
- Conduct site assessments to collect essential data for reliable project estimates.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings to discuss project specifics and clarify bid conditions.
- Handle multiple bidding projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- Assist during the bidding phase by evaluating contractor proposals and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Must-Haves:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems installation techniques and industry standards.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications effectively.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in mechanical design and project management within the HVAC field.
- A strong background in a similar estimating position in the HVAC industry.
- Certifications related to HVAC estimating or project management.
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual Salary: $75000 - $90000 based on experience level.
