ZIMMER COMMUNICATIONS IS HIRING!
Do you want to get your foot in the door in radio Are you ready to improve your skills in content creation Do you have a passion for sports This could be the perfect opportunity! Zimmer Communications in Columbia/Jefferson City MO is looking for an enthusiastic creative and self-motivated Part-Time Producer for our cluster of stations including KTGR KFAL and KWOS. This is an entry level hourly position with growth potential.
WHATS THE JOB LIKE
MAIN DUTIES:
- Running the in-studio control board for local sports broadcasts on our radio stations where you will be in direct communication with the on-air announcers.
- Creating game highlight audio to be used for later broadcasts.
- Creating audio and written content including writing for websites creating podcasts and creating social media content to help grow our various platforms.
- Assisting in the production of news and talk shows and assisting as an on-air talent for sporting events.
- For the right applicant there may be an option to assist music stations in voice tracking filling in for on-air shifts and other programming as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Night and weekend availability
- Demonstrate aptitude and attitude to work in a fast and accurate manner capable of thriving in deadline-driven situations
- Able to multi-task problem solve and handle interruptions
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills with organizational ability
- Possess basic computer and software skills and have basic knowledge of social media platforms and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to work with other departments to drive success of the station/company
- Experience with social media posting on a variety of platforms
- High School education or equivalent
- Experience with radio production is preferred though we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude
