Job Summary
Scale Operator - Weighs incoming or outgoing materials and trucks carrying duties include inspecting loading unloading and sorting and assist retail customers in purchasing non-ferrous scrap identifying material into the appropriate type or the different pricing of where all product is located on the yard so you can give directions to the customer Answering phones Create a positive customer be detailed orientated and organized Basic Computer skills - working a lot on the computer Lots of communication with the yard drivers and customer Requires a lot of walking and standing at the counter including walking up and down stairs. Environment can be both fast and slow paced but MUST triple check all tickets to make sure you give the right ticket to the customer. Qualifications:Ensuring that customer service is the #1 to serve customers with a positive attitude at all mathematical to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with to Friday with ½ day on -lingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not position is very detailed and requires a lot of training. the ideal candidate will have customer service experience math skills able to multi task teachable and have a great work ethic. NO JOB HOPPERS. It takes two months to learn the system and what metals they use. The job can be physically demanding as you are required to inspect loads and walk up and down stairs several times a day. When metal is brought in you must be able to make sure they have the proper paperwork and that items within the load are meeting the code standards. they offer hydration packets to help you stay hydrated throughout the day. This is a temp to hire position.
