This position is responsible for co-ordinating planning and enabling the execution of Library programming that is educational entertaining and enriching for community members. Job dutiesAssisting with and co-ordinating the planning development implementation and evaluation of literacy and leisure public programs for all age groups and abilities across Children SchoolAge & Outreach Teen/Youth Adult/Book Clubs and Makerspace portfolios; building and publishing program calendars; managing room bookings equipment/supplies or kit readiness budget tracking registration caps and waitlists; creating and co-ordinating with Public Services to support staffing coverage; and organizing events within the department to ensure timely consistent attendance demographic reach and satisfaction data collection; assisting in the collection of statistics and preparing data for presentation; contributing to data dashboards with Key Performance Indicators for research purposes and providing research support; tracking outcomes and making recommendations; and seeking recommending and supporting grant funding award submissions and program opportunities to enhance current program materials and processes meet AODA accessibility requirements Town/Library policies and inclusive practices; co-ordinating privacy-compliant registration and photo/video consent processes in alignment with MFIPPA and records retention schedules; and maintaining program safety opportunities for collaboration between Town divisions and community organizations to propose accessible literacy and community program options supporting health wellness and learning; co-ordinating library outreach (school tours community group visits community events); and developing various partnerships to accomplish Library goals and broader community program descriptions and promotional copy for website social media and program guides; collaborating with staff to promote library services via social media; inputting event information into the online website calendar; and based on community and market trends designing engaging social media and/or facilitating programs to support delivery needs coaching other staff and volunteers as assigned; providing tech support to facilitators and audience/partners as appropriate; maintaining program supply kits and AV checklists; and providing technical support for program delivery in collaboration with the Makerspace Specialist where duties as diploma specializing in Library Techniques or Community Development or acceptable equivalent combination of education and two (2) years of related experience including facilitating conducting and/or co-ordinating programs/ written and oral communication skills; able to work as part of a team and independently; strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; familiarity with data tools and event registration platforms; excellent customer service skills; and the ability to run programs and facilitate public of AODA/IASR accessibility inclusive design and MFIPPA/privacy Class G drivers candidates will be required to complete a background check including but not limited to a Vulnerable Sector Check in accordance with the duties of this range: $71831.94 to $84033.04 Band 8 on the Towns 2026 pay grid plus a comprehensive benefits candidates are invited to apply no later than 4 p.m. on February 10 2026.
