WHATS THE JOB
*This is a casual talent pool for contemporary voice teachers specialising in pop rock r&b and soul.
Academic lecturers are responsible for the preparation delivery and assessment of units/courses as allocated. You are required to stay abreast of contemporary teaching learning and assessment principles relevant to your discipline their role modes of delivery and the needs of particular student cohorts. This role will contribute to the achievement of the department and Institutes operational and strategic plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare review and update teaching materials for units delivered.
- Ensure teaching materials (e.g. handouts PowerPoint presentations and other resources) are uploaded to the Learning Management System in a timely manner relevant folders are kept up-to-date and reviewed each Study Period.
- Draft review and update assessment tools.
- Set or revise conduct and mark assessments and examination papers as required providing good quality feedback to students within the prescribed timeframe.
- Attend academic meetings as required.
- Expand and support the development of quality teaching and learning resources to include blended learning.
- Actively monitor student data per unit and teaching session working closely with the Course Convener AHOLTs and other stakeholders to implement strategies for reducing attrition progression and course completion.
- Carry out assessment of auditions and course applications as directed.
- Positively promote the advantages of AIM program and units to students and potential students.
- Prepare and provide general reporting on the unit(s) of teach delivery allocated (e.g. content mode of delivery student data) as directed from time to time.
- Contribute to the achievement of positive student satisfaction attrition and employability metrics working closely with all relevant stakeholders to recommend improvements to student satisfaction reduce attrition and enhance graduate outcomes.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
*You must be qualified to at least one level of qualification (AQF level or equivalent)higher than the course of study being taught or have approved equivalent relevant academic or professional or practice-based experience and expertise.
- Evidenced knowledge of contemporary developments in a specialist discipline or field relevant to that being taught which is informed by continuing scholarship or research or advanced practice.
- Evidenced skills in contemporary teaching learning and assessment principles relevant to the discipline their role modes of delivery and the needs of particular student cohorts.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive and practical approach to both students and staff.
- Creativity in solving problems and generating innovative solutions.
- Ability to work positively and harmoniously with staff and students of all cultures and backgrounds.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
