Conceptual Design Studies of a Hydrogen Powered Aircraft

You are looking for a master thesis and want to get to know the work of a Future Projects Engineer Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Future Projects Office as a Masterand (d/f/m)!

Start: April 2026
Duration: 6 months

Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

Conceptual design studies for novel hydrogen powered civil aircraft.
Design space investigation for the aircraft concepts - optimisation for minimal energy use.
Application of CAD tools for the concept aircraft design.
Documentation of results.
Contribution to associated research projects.

Desired skills and qualifications

Enrolled full-time student in the area of aircraft design or an equivalent field of study.
First practical experience in the field of modeling hydrogen powered aircraft is desirable.
Fluent in English.
Design space exploration.
Computer Aided Design (CAD).
