- Fleet Data Centers is seekingan experienced and results-drivenEquipment ProcurementPrincipalto lead the sourcing negotiation and procurement ofmechanicalequipmentfor ourdata centerdevelopment projects. This roleis responsible formanaging the full procurement lifecycle for keyMechanicalsystemsincludingCooling UnitsChillersComputer Room AirConditioning (CRAC)critical tier-2 components. The ideal candidate brings a strong background inmechanicaland coolingprocurement and deep knowledge of the unique requirements of mission-critical infrastructure such as data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Lead end-to-endRFx processes (RFI RFP RFQ)from initiation through supplierselectionand award
- Conductindustry analysis and supply base assessments to evaluate supplier capacity and capabilities
- Managesupplier onboarding qualification and new product development processes
- Drivesupplier performance and relationship management(SPRM) initiatives
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks through strategic planning
- Oversee category lifecycle management and transition strategies
- Implement sustainability and social responsibility initiatives within the supply chain
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics including cost savings supplier performance and procurement cycle times
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in supply chainbusinessengineering or related field or equivalentdemonstratework experience
- 5 yearsexperience in procurement or supply chain managementincluding2years focusedonmechanicalsystems or mission critical infrastructure
Required Skills Experience and Talents:
- Experience working in fast-pacedlarge-scale infrastructure or data center projects
