Job Summary

Fleet Data Centers is seekingan experienced and results-drivenEquipment ProcurementPrincipalto lead the sourcing negotiation and procurement ofmechanicalequipmentfor ourdata centerdevelopment projects. This roleis responsible formanaging the full procurement lifecycle for keyMechanicalsystemsincludingCooling UnitsChillersComputer Room AirConditioning (CRAC)critical tier-2 components. The ideal candidate brings a strong background inmechanicaland coolingprocurement and deep knowledge of the unique requirements of mission-critical infrastructure such as data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with organizational objectives
Lead end-to-endRFx processes (RFI RFP RFQ)from initiation through supplierselectionand award
Conductindustry analysis and supply base assessments to evaluate supplier capacity and capabilities
Managesupplier onboarding qualification and new product development processes
Drivesupplier performance and relationship management(SPRM) initiatives
Assess and mitigate supply chain risks through strategic planning
Oversee category lifecycle management and transition strategies
Implement sustainability and social responsibility initiatives within the supply chain
Monitor and report on key performance metrics including cost savings supplier performance and procurement cycle times

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in supply chainbusinessengineering or related field or equivalentdemonstratework experience
5 yearsexperience in procurement or supply chain managementincluding2years focusedonmechanicalsystems or mission critical infrastructure

Required Skills Experience and Talents:

Experience working in fast-pacedlarge-scale infrastructure or data center projects
Proventrack recordinglobal procurement and supplier relationship management
Strong knowledge of supply chain management tools data analytics and BI tools
Excellent project management contract managementchange managementand communicationskills
Knowledge of sustainability and social responsibility in supply chain
Integrity and Ethical Standards:Build trust ensure fairness and foster long-term transparent relationships with suppliers
Effective Communication:The ability to clearly convey expectations and requirements to suppliers and negotiation parties while understanding their needs and concerns. Comfortable delivering written and verbal presentations to internal leadership teams

PreferredSkills Experience and Talents:

MBA MS in Supply Chain or advanced degree in engineering or other quantitative disciplines
Deep understanding of data center mechanical systemsand associated vendors (OEMs and integrators)
Data centermechanical equipmentprocurementexperience
Certifications such as CPSM CSCP or Six Sigma Black Belt
Proventrack recordin implementing process improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence

Location and Travel:

Work location is flexible toAustin TXDenver CO Seattle WA or Arlington VA
10-20%travelto Fleet officesandVendors

Expected Salary Range:$160-$200Kbaseplus bonus
